We are accepting nominations for the 2011 Goleta Teen of the Year scholarship. Please click here to download the form. Nominations are due in by September 12, 2011 and Orientation is on September 18th – 4 PM at the Goleta Unified School District offices.

Stow House
The Stow House event is either this Thursday or Sataurday, depending on what you signed up for. Scheduled times are 4:00 on Thursday and 9:00 on Saturday, and each of the shifts is 3 hours. You will helping get the historic old home ready for its annual holiday open house by decorating inside and/or outside, or painting, or cleaning, or preparing crafts for the children to do, etc., etc. etc. Should be fun!
Upcoming Deadlines
Reminder that this Friday at 4:00 is the deadline for turning in your essays, your tickets stubs and money, and your letter of reference to Mr. Mike Gartzke or to me at our offices at Town'n Country, 5669 Calle Real, next to Denny's. 4:00 is the absolute deadline! No exceptions! And earlier is better!

Congratulations to the 2008 Teen of the Year
Last night, at the UCSB Faculty Club, friends and family were gathered to see Sandra Iraheta named the 2008 Goleta Teen of the Year. Congratulations Sandra!
City Council Meeting
Tonight’s city council meeting will take place at 130 Cremona Dr. in Goleta. It starts at 6 PM. Derss in business casual attire (no jeans). Turn off your cell phones, or better yet, leave them at home.

Now accepting 2008 nominations
The nomination form can be downloaded from this page or directly. You have the option of printing it out and mailing it in or emailing it. If you decide to email, please make sure you have a working mail client and the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Important: To submit the nomination form by email, you must have a default mail client (i.e. Outlook, Outlook Express, Lotus Notes, etc). If you primarily use Gmail, Hotmail, or Yahoo, simply fill out the form and save it to your computer, then manually attach it to the committee. Alternatively, you can press the print button and mail or fax it in. Full instructions are on the form.
