Stow House
Tomorrow's (Nov 15) project will take place at Stow House located about 1/2 mile off the 101 freeway, towards the mountain. The volunteer day will last from 9AM to around noon. Please show up on time and wear your Goleta Teen t-shirt and shoes or boots (no sandals). Bring work gloves (if you have them), a hat, and sunscreen.

Lemon Festival
The candidates worked 2 hour shifts across three days this past weekend at the Lemon Festival, held at Girsh Park. This year, the food and rides were divided into two sections, making our booth a little harder to find. One of the machines had some issues on Sunday, but sales were steady. Thanks to all that participated!
CPR and Lemons
Congrats to all the candidates that came out last night to learn first aid and CPR. Remember, your next event will be the Lemon Festival at Girsh Park. There are shifts from Friday through Sunday so check your times and don’t be late.

Essays Due Today
Just a friendly reminder that your tickets, essay, and letter of reference are due today at Mike Gartzke's office no later than 4PM today.
Planting Project
Come out and work with Goleta Valley Beautiful to plant 35 trees at Hollister School. Those willing to make an extra effort, please show up at 8 AM to help unload. The end time is just an approximation. All equipment will be provided by GVB but please come in shoes or boots. Those wearing flip-flops will not be able to work.

Lemon Festival
We will be selling cotton candy today and tomorrow at the Lemon Festival, located in Goleta at Girsh Park. Please try not to change your shift and show up on time. We have a corner booth located near the grass, next to Ralphs (booth) and Churros.
CPR Training
