The Goleta Teen of the Year
Community Service Award Program

The program is presented by the Rotary Club of Goleta Noontime, to recognize male and female Teens for their contributions to the Goleta community. Scholarship funds are awarded to the Goleta Teen of the Year and Finalists in the program, plus a donation is given in the Finalist’s name to non-profit organizations chosen by each Finalist. Funds for scholarships are provided by the Rotary Club of Goleta Noontime through fundraising efforts with events such as the 4th of July Fireworks Festival. Funds are also provided by the Goleta Chamber of Commerce, raffle ticket sales by the candidates, proceeds earned at the Goleta Lemon Festival, booth sales at the 4th of July Fireworks Festival and from donations from the business community.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Candidates must be a junior or senior at Dos Pueblos, San Marcos, Bishop Diego Garcia or Laguna Blanca High School
  • Must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.75
  • Must live in the zip code areas of 93118, 93117, 93111 or 93110
  • Must contribute to community, school, youth group, church, service clubs or other non-profit organizations
  • Must be willing to commit enthusiastically to serving as Goleta’s Teen of the Year
